Weekly Gathering

2015-16 group photoOur weekly large group worship gathering, called 6:19, is on Thursdays at 6:19pm at the BCM Center.  The name of our weekly gathering carries much more meaning than just the start time.

6:19 comes from Hebrews 6:19.  This passage is talking about how God has made a promise to us for salvation that is made possible through Jesus.  This promise gives us hope in the midst of the brokenness of this present world.  Hebrews 6:19 refers to that hope we have and says, in part, “We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul” (ESV)

In other words, the passage is saying that the hope we have through knowing Jesus serves as the anchor to our life that gives us stability.  The hope in Christ gives us security and support in living our lives following Christ!  Keeping that in mind, we design 6:19 as a time to focus on Christ and learn about how He has called us to live as we follow Him.  Come be a part of this time together, learn about living a life following Christ, and let it be an anchor for your soul.

The gathering itself officially starts at 6:19pm, but feel free to come early to hang out and get to know other people in BCM.  Also, the first Thursday of each month we begin our time together with a meal that is usually provided by a local church.
