Scott and Chelsea Anderson

Scott and Chelsea Anderson are both staff members at the BCM. They, together with their three children, love college students and walking with them as they walk with Christ. They each bring 9 years of campus ministry experience as well as experience on four other campuses in Virginia.

Scott and Chelsea more or less received their call to ministry together when they started ministering to college students at Old Dominion University in 2013. Scott graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2020 with his Masters of Divinity. Scott is passionate about understanding God theologically and translating that into a living, interactive and thriving relationship with Jesus. Chelsea is passionate about discipleship and walking through the ups and downs and mess of life with others while following Jesus. They live with their kids in Bridgewater, VA.

Maty McGuire

Maty McGuire graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelors in Kinesiology. While she was a student at UTK, she led small groups and helped facilitate girls community. She spent the 2021-2022 school year as an intern at the Virginia Tech BCM before moving to Harrisonburg to serve at the JMU BCM.

Maty’s relationship with Jesus took off during college, so she is passionate about helping students meet and connect deeply with Him. Maty is creative - if it’s something she can design, paint, decorate, draw, or organize, she is all for it. Maty will always say “yes” to any invitation to meet new people or spend quality time with her friends.

Haley Gillespie graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Dance. During her last year at JMU, Haley quickly felt at home with the BCM community. During the school year, she hosted students, became a discussion leader, and served on two mission trips.

Haley experienced a tremendous move of the Spirit in her heart during her senior year of college. She is passionate about helping others seek God’s guidance with their mental health struggles, the importance of being involved in a Christian community, and vulnerability. Haley has an eye for design and desires to use her skills to share the hope of God’s word.
