Meet the staff
Our staff believe that the college experience is a unique time to meet God and find His purposes for your life. They’re available to meet and encourage you as you walk with Jesus in college. To set up an appointment with a staff member, please email us at jmubcm@gmail.com or call (540) 908-4406
The Andersons
Scott and Chelsea Anderson are both staff members at the BCM. They, together with their three children, love college students and walking with them as they walk with Christ. They each bring 12 years of campus ministry experience as well as experience on four other campuses in Virginia.
Scott and Chelsea more or less received their call to ministry together when they started ministering to college students at Old Dominion University in 2013. Scott graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2020 with his Masters of Divinity. Scott is passionate about understanding God theologically and translating that into a living, interactive and thriving relationship with Jesus. Chelsea is passionate about discipleship and walking through the ups and downs and mess of life with others while following Jesus. They live with their kids in Bridgewater, VA.
Haley Girard
Haley Girard graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Dance. During her last year at JMU, Haley quickly felt at home with the BCM community.
Haley experienced a tremendous move of the Spirit in her heart during her senior year of college. She is passionate about helping others seek God’s guidance with their mental health struggles, the importance of being involved in a Christian community, and vulnerability. Haley has an eye for design and desires to use her skills to share the hope of God’s word.
Josh Bridges
Josh graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. During his four years at JMU, he spent most of his time at the BCM and served on the leadership team for 2 years.
The Lord has continually shaped Josh throughout his life, only to continue challenging and transforming him in college. His greatest joys at the BCM have always been making everyone feel welcome, discipling others, and serving those in need. Josh thrives at creating new connections and creating opportunities for people to find true community and fellowship through avenues like sports, games, and music.
